Today marked a special moment in our school’s history as I was presented with a truly remarkable piece of the past—a football recovered from a 50-year-old time capsule unearthed on November 10, 2025, in Ashtabula.
This football carries with it the legacy of the 1975 Jefferson vs. Edgewood matchup, a hard-fought game that ended in a 15–13 victory for Edgewood. It stands as a symbol of the pride, tradition, and competitive spirit that have defined Warrior football for generations.
Now proudly displayed in the trophy case at Edgewood High School, this piece of history serves as a connection between past and present—reminding us of the athletes, moments, and memories that continue to shape our program.
